There is nothing better than photographing someone when it is significant to them. Photos mean a lot of the Kirwan’s and the images always are more rich when that is the case. Thank you for reminding me of their importance. These are some of my favorite senior images that I have documented. You’re stunning Jaimie. Blessings on your Senior year.

Everyone give a round of applause for the backgrounds in Comstock, every time I shoot there I love it more and more. It was made for photos.

Photographing Nolan in his Ord athletic gear made me flashback to my “glory days.” I gave up my dreams of being a professional basketball player after finally coming to the conclusion that basketball involves too much running. From the sound of it, Ord is going to have a pretty awesome guys team this year. Congrats Nolan!! GO CHANTS! Yes, Chants as in Chanticleer. It’s a chicken.

Heidi is one of the most beautiful brides I have photographed, which is greatly complimented by the beauty within the couple.  As it should be, Adam had to work hard for his bride. I believe he asked Heidi’s dad three times and had to pull her out of a tree to propose. The couple will be living in Denver as Adam enters in to his final Pastoral training and Heidi teaches at St. John’s Lutheran School. You both have been such a blessing to work with and joy to photograph. I can’t wait to show you more.

QUESO! I yelled at Normita’s family during formals. Her family traveled all the way from Mexico to experience this special day. I’m sure they  thought I was an idiot, but I was deeply entertained. I impressed myself with  how much conversational Spanish I pulled out. Like “hace caliente.” and “como esta.”(brilliant right?)

Ben and I were welcomed in Brighton Colorado by a creamy cloud cover at a beautiful location. This was the first time Ben was a second shooter with Selah, and let me tell you, he was amazing. His perspective behind the camera along with his perspective on life was so fitting and refreshing. I felt like we had worked together for years.

The day was filled with a wonderful energy and importance. We are so thankful to have been there to help you remember it. If you notice, a member of the bridal party looks very similar to a member to an attendant we photographed in Nebraska the day prior… Ashley told me that her biggest regret from her wedding is that we didn’t photograph it, so I think it is her goal to make sure we photograph every wedding that she is in. I believe this is the third one. I’m so thankful for your trust and referrals Ashley.

Biggest Lesson I learned: Don’t carry my mono pod fully extended to the side while I am walking.

Thing I am most thankful for: That Ben saw me accidentally deck a guy because I was walking with my mono pod fully extended to the side.

Peter and Charista exchanged vows at King of Kings last Friday.  Charista’s father is the pastor and had been planning the message for months. He told us such a beautiful story of a fathers love. There is an image below of Peter and Charista standing at the alter, her Dad’s hand is raised behind them with the white cross as the focal point of the story. This image is such a strong picture of the cycle of love. The photo gives me goosebumps.

Peter and Charista, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your day. There were so many good things to see. While I am throwing out the thank-you’s… Peter, thanks for eating my hair products that one time. Thank you for throwing a icy snowball at my face. Thank you for study video’s in the Link, helping defy Janzow’s etiquette classes, for thinking of the troll eating the rose idea and for all the lengthy conversations about nothing of any sense. Also, thanks for letting us eat at your wedding after the whole bean’s on my dress incident the week prior. And a BIG thank you to the little boy who came back to the photo booth three times. We aren’t sure who you are….but think you are brilliant. “I’m not paranoid” (so funny).
