“We’re always like this,” they told me as the two laughed their way through their engagement session in downtown Denver.

We are so excited to be a part of their wedding. Alicia and Kyle will exchange vows in Northern Montana with a fun and intimate celebration. There will be boats, camping, games and everything unique and fun that group of best friends would do together.

If you are in need of a pick me up, spend a few minutes with the joy found in these natural children’s portraits featuring their vibrant personalities. This project is part of a fundraiser for the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group at St. Johns Lutheran Church near Washington Park. I was able to document all of these beautiful children and have been blessed by the experience ever since.

There is nothing quite like the pure happiness of a child. Thanks for the opportunity MOPS!

This lovely family and I met in downtown Denver a few weeks ago and I was able to come away with a vibrant documentation of their personalities. I have had the privileged of photographing these children at least once a year for the past three years. It has been so fun to watch this family who is so dear to me.

A bittersweet call to Canada lead them out of Denver just a couple weeks ago but I hope to be able to continue their children’s photographry session every time they stop back home.

I am a sucker for sentiment. Here are a few of my favorites from some of the first sessions I did with Micah and Evan.

“I’ve got to do it.” I remember Crystal telling me as she decided to move from Denver to Billings to chase this boy, Andy. It took only a few months of living in the same town, on top of a few months of dating, for this lovely couple to decide that their relationship would last forever.

There are so many reasons why we are excited about Andy and Crystal. I’ve been typing and deleting for the last ten minutes attempting to make some of those thoughts concrete. Instead, I’ll tell you through the medium which I speak best.

In case you have been wondering what the Worlds Best Accountant looks like, allow your eyes to feast. Here he is…Mr. Andy Zoeller.

I think I have just found my new poster children for Selah’s website. This “incredibly un-photogenic” couple and I strolled around Denver last weekend for their urban, unique and artistic engagement photographs. We took a break at the Tin Man, the place where their eyes met for the first time. “Ali was sitting over there the first time I saw her,” Reuben told me.

I have a feeling that everyone who looks at these images are going to want to befriend these two. I can’t wait for their wedding this summer!

It didn’t take me long to fall in love with this vibrant couple. It’s not common for me to pursue clients…actually I’m not sure I ever have, Jamie and Michael being the exception. Their peaceful, artistic and joyful nature were just a few of the things that made me chase after them upon our first meeting over a year ago. “I know I will photograph you well,” I assured them after getting a glimpse of what an awesome pair they are.

Polka? Yes, Polka. The traditional German reception involved dancing around in circles the whole night with intermittent stops for the pinning of a twenty dollar bill and a “sip” of tequila .

If my writing skills could describe this wedding as accurately as the imagery, I would contemplate making lists of all the things we loved. Instead, I’ll fill you in as the story goes along and give you a short preview of everything that made this event magical.

This is the second prior to Jamie and Michael see each other for the first time.

This fabulous couple and I met last weekend to document their engagement. They were looking for classic and artistic imagery. The description of the photographic style they were looking for perfectly describes their personalities. We photographed at Union Station and Lookout Mountain. The wedding will take place in North Carolina this summer.

This beautifully sweet two year old had possibly the best birthday party ever. It was so fun documenting this.

The Onyx room at the Brown Palace in Downtown Denver hosted Paul and Bryony’s old Hollywood meets winter-chic themed wedding. The classy and unique celebration made it easy to capture fine art wedding images along with meaningful story-telling photographs.

Thanks to the fabulous planning of Julia and Kelly of A Touch of Bliss, we were able to give great attention to creating these artistic wedding images. We also had the privilege of working again with Tony (or was it Will?) of DJ Maestro who is without a doubt one of the best DJ’s in the Denver area.

This couple exchanged vows at the gorgeous, Kevin Taylor Opera House at the Performing Arts Center in downtown Denver. They were looking for journalistic, artistic wedding photography to document their celebration. The ceremony featured a group of children singing Ben Folds and Edward Sharpe as the bride and groom walked up and down the aisle. The evening was filled with tearful speeches and shouts of celebration. To top it off, their reception hosted some of the best dance moves I’ve seen since my last visit to youtube.

I loved being a part of this day.
